POSITION: Finance Manager

ITM Africa Ltd is currently seeking a highly motivated and professional Finance Manager to work in its office in Kigali.

The Finance Manager supervises all financial transactions (payroll, tax returns, social contributions, management dashboards, etc.) in accordance with International Accounting Standards and also assists the Country Manager in elaborating and incorporating internal policies for the Finance department in accordance with Rwandan laws and revenue regulations policies.


  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
  • Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries
  •  Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
  • Issue project cost reports for review and approval.
  • Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns
  • Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives
    Perform reconciliations with third parties in a timely manner;
  • Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
  • Develop mechanism for monitoring and controlling budget utilization.
  • Optimize payment orders in line with budget.
  • Assist in recovering Client’s debts and proceed with account reconciliation accordingly
  •  Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  • Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role
  • Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations
  • Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.


  • Min Degree in Accounting/Finance qualification.
  • Min 3-5 year’s relevant experience in financial & management accounting.
  • Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
  •  Available to work outside normal working hours.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
  • Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
  •  Able to work independently, to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
  •  Working experience in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
  • Fluency in English and good knowledge in French would be an added advantage;
