The Fleet Manager will oversee the planning coordination and day to day management of the organisation’s vehicles and transport operations. The role ensures safe reliable and cost effective movement of staff goods and equipment across all business functions. This position requires strong organisational capability sound judgement and the ability to work closely with multiple departments in a structured corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full fleet of company vehicles including scheduling allocation and utilisation
  • Oversee preventive maintenance plans routine servicing and timely repairs to ensure all vehicles remain in safe working condition
  • Maintain accurate logs for mileage fuel usage service schedules and driver assignments
  • Coordinate daily transport requests from internal teams and ensure timely dispatch and return
  • Monitor driver performance and adherence to company procedures and safety standards
  • Manage relationships with service providers garages and insurance partners
  • Review and approve repair estimates and monitor cost effectiveness of all fleet expenses
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with regulatory requirements licensing insurance and inspection timelines
  • Implement systems to track fleet performance fuel efficiency and operational reliability
  • Prepare periodic reports on fleet usage maintenance costs and operational incidents
  • Lead and guide the fleet team promoting accountability and continuous improvement
  • Support procurement planning for new vehicles equipment or replacements when required
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted operations during peak periods or unexpected breakdowns

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Logistics Transport Management Business Administration or a related field
  • At least three years of experience managing a fleet or transport operations in a structured corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules parts requirements and service procedures
  • Experience using digital fleet tracking systems or other transport related software
  • Strong leadership experience and the ability to supervise drivers and support staff effectively
  • Excellent communication negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
