Bank of Africa Rwanda seek to recruit well qualified and experienced candidate to fill the following position within Head Office:
We are looking for a creative, hands-on Graphic Designer & social media Officer who can take ownership of our day-to-day digital presence. This role combines primarily graphic design, social media management, supported by basic content production to help us consistently tell our brand story, grow our online visibility, and produce high-quality content that reflects the professionalism of a leading financial institution. The successful candidate will ensure that all digital content aligns with the Bank’s brand guidelines, enhances customer engagement, and supports marketing campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and promoting the Bank’s products and services.
Responsibilities or duties
- Design high-quality visuals, animations, reels for social media, website banners, internal communications, and campaign assets.
- All designs should be optimized for both digital use and print applications where required.
- Adapt assets into multiple formats/sizes per platform while maintaining brand consistency.
- Produce reusable templates to improve speed and consistency (product promos, branch updates, event recaps, holidays).
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and internal approval processes (especially for regulated communications).
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and corporate communications teams to translate business goals into creative visuals.
- Support the day-to-day execution of social media activities by preparing and publishing approved content across the Bank’s official platforms, in line with the established editorial/content calendar.
- Ensure each post is correctly formatted per platform (sizes, thumbnails, captions, hashtags, tagging) and uploaded on time, with strong attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Coordinate closely with the officer responsible for content planning to ensure smooth workflow from brief → design → approvals → posting → reporting.
- Track performance of published content (basic analytics such as reach, engagement, growth) and share practical recommendations to improve post effectiveness (creative tweaks, formats, timing, trends).
- Maintain an organized archive of published assets and digital content for easy retrieval and reuse.
- Cover key Bank events/CSR/activations with basic-to-strong photography (equipment provided by the Bank).
- Edit and deliver selected photos promptly for digital use.
- Capture short mobile-friendly videos (Reels/Stories/event highlights) and do basic edits (cuts, resizing, subtitles if needed).
- Track post and campaign performance (reach, engagement, growth, CTR where applicable).
- Share simple monthly insights: what worked, what didn’t, and recommendations to improve.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Digital Media, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects,).
- Professional video editing skills & Tools. (Capcut …etc)
- Graphic templates and presentations (Canva, Figma).
- Good understanding of digital marketing and online engagement strategies.
- Creativity and strong visual storytelling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Experience needed
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in graphic design, social media management, or digital content creation.
- Experience in photography and basic videography will be an added advantage.
- Experience managing social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Experience working in a corporate environment is preferred.
