Invitation to Bid for the Acquisition of Government Shares in Rwamagana Banana Wine, Nyabihu Irish Potato, and Rutsiro Honey Companies Tender at National Industrial Research and Development Agency

Bid Invitation

The National Industrial Research and Development Agency (NIRDA) is inviting all interested reputable and qualified investors to submit their bids for acquisition of its shares in Rwamagana Banana Wine, Nyabihu Irish Potato and Rutsiro Honey Companies (together referred as the Community Processing Centers “CPCs” or “companies”). NIRDA is the majority shareholder in these companies.

The CPCs specialize in transforming local produces into finished products. Rwamagana Banana Wine specializes in transforming raw banana into wine and beer, Nyabihu Irish Potato Company transforms raw Irish potatoes into crips and french fries and Rutsiro honey transforms raw honey into liquid honey and honey wine.

Invitation to bid is open to both National and international qualified bidders. Request for Proposals (RFPs) can be found on the website of NIRDA.

The bids must be submitted not later than 10th January, 2026 before 3:00pm, Kigali Time

Scanned proposals should be submitted online via:Cpcsprivatization@nirda.gov.rw and copy to privatization@minecofin.gov.rw

Well printed copy of the bid written in English language and sealed in an envelope should be addressed to Director General of National Industrial Research and Development Agency (NIRDA).
