Background
This role is within the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB).
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct water quality analysis, including pH, ammonia, dissolved oxygen, and nitrate levels.
- Perform microbiological and parasitological tests to diagnose fish diseases.
- Analyze fish samples to assess health status and nutritional deficiencies.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment for accurate results.
- Document test results and prepare reports for hatchery and farm management.
- Assist in the development of fish health management protocols.
- Ensure compliance with biosecurity and laboratory safety regulations.
- Provide technical support to hatchery and farm staff regarding fish health.
- Conduct research on disease prevention, nutrition, and water treatment techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences with 3 Years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Microbiology with 3 Years of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree in Microbiology with 2 Years of relevant experience
- Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology with 3 Years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with 3 Years of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree in Animal Sciences with 2 Years of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree in Biotechnology with 2 Years of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree in Biology with 2 Years of relevant experience
