Occupational Therapy A0

Responsibilities or duties

  • Assess patients' physical, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, and functional abilities.
  • Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Help patients regain or improve independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, feeding, and mobility.
  • Provide rehabilitation for patients with neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, or other disabling conditions.
  • Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, assessments, treatment notes, and progress reports.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, nurses, speech therapists, psychologists, and social workers.
  • Ensure compliance with professional ethics, infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
  • Participate in continuous professional development, clinical teaching, research, and quality improvement activities.
