Background
Letshego Rwanda Limited (Letshego Rwanda) was established in Rwanda in 2004 and is a subsidiary of Letshego Holdings Limited (LHL), a pan Africa financial services group that is headquartered in Gaborone. LHL is the largest indigenous BSE-quoted company with a current market capitalization in excess of BWP 5 billion (US$ 500 million) that places it in the top 40 sub-Saharan Africa companies (excluding-South Africa). Since inception Letshego Rwanda has been operating as a regulated credit only microfinance company. In 2013, Letshego Rwanda obtained a deposit-taking microfinance license from the National Bank of Rwanda.
Letshego Holdings Limited was incorporated in 1998; it’s headquartered in Gaborone and has been publicly listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2002. It is an inclusive finance focused group with consumer, micro-lending and deposit-taking subsidiaries across sub-Saharan Africa.
An opening has arisen within Letshego Rwanda Limited LRL for the below-mentioned position. This role is tenable at LRL. The incumbent will serve as a key member of the Country management team (CMC).
Purpose of the Job:
To lead, develop, and implement country human capital management strategies that will enable an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal attainment, and empowerment. Responsible for developing processes and metrics that support the achievement of the country’s business goals
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the country human capital strategy aligned with the Group's people culture and strategy to contribute to a motivated workforce.
- Forecasts resource requirements to enable business goals and objectives.
- Responsible for creating a compelling Letshego employer brand that attracts diverse, experienced, and capable talent.
- Ensures performance management programs, supporting systems, and processes align with strategy and goals, driving the annual country performance review process.
- Responsible for talent development, succession planning, and management programs.
- Responsible for competitive rewards programs to attract and retain key players in a highly competitive industry.
- Responsible for the succession planning process to ensure management and professional readiness to meet the subsidiary's growth plans
- Responsible for measuring metrics that support business goals, necessary aspects of human capital, and training and development.
- Oversees the learning and development program in line with business requirements.
- Ensures adherence to HC policies and procedures to promote a conducive working environment.
- Responsible for promoting people wellness through the implementation of a wellness strategy.
- Provides advice in disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Implements the strategies and policies approved by the Board, developing processes that adequately identify, measure, monitor, and control risks faced by the institution.

Experience and Qualifications Required:
- A degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or any other related field.
- Master’s degree in organizational psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 7 years of working experience in human resources management with 3 years human resource senior management role.
- Membership of a professional association will be an added advantage
