EPO has implemented numerous impactful projects that have received national recognition for their contribution to youth capacity building and community development.
In 2020, EPO established the Forum of African Youth Organizations (FAYO), a continental platform that brings together youth-focused organizations to promote collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development across Africa.
EPO currently manages several affiliated initiatives, including:
- EPO Media House, composed of ISANO FM Community Radio, Public Places Community Media, and their digital platforms
- ISANO Vocational Training Center (VTC)
- ISANO Savings Groups
To strengthen leadership and the delivery of quality skills-based training, EPO seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced Headmaster/Principal for ISANO Vocational Training Center (ISANO VTC).
Key Responsibilities
The Principal / Head Master will be responsible for strategic, operational, and academic leadership of ISANO VTC:
1. Leadership & Administration
- Lead, manage, and supervise daily operations, staff, and students.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster discipline, ethics, and professional conduct in all school activities.
2. Academic & Curriculum Management
- Develop and implement academic and vocational curricula.
- Monitor teaching quality, student performance, and learning outcomes.
- Coordinate student assessments, examinations, and certification.
- Integrate soft skills, entrepreneurship, and innovation into the curriculum.
3. Resource & Financial Management
- Manage school finances, budgets, and material resources efficiently.
- Ensure transparent reporting and accountability of school funds and assets.
- Supervise procurement, inventory, and maintenance of school facilities and equipment.
4. ICT & Digital Learning
- Promote ICT in administration and teaching.
- Ensure staff and students effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and other relevant digital tools.
- Oversee e-learning initiatives and online platforms.
5. Stakeholder Relations & Partnerships
- Represent ISANO VTC in government meetings, community forums, and partner organizations.
- Build strong networks with NGOs, private sector, TVET institutions, and community leaders.
- Promote the school’s mission and initiatives to attract funding, collaboration, and technical support.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators for students, staff, and programs.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Founder & CEO.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions.
7. Staff Capacity Building
- Identify training needs for teachers and administrative staff.
- Organize and implement professional development programs.
- Mentor staff to enhance leadership, technical, and teaching skills.
8. Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure adherence to Ministry of Education and TVET standards.
- Implement institutional policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
9. Innovation & Development
- Introduce modern teaching methodologies, innovation, and practical projects.
- Ensure ISANO VTC remains competitive and aligned with national and international standards.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Rwandan national.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in school leadership, education management, or administration (Principal / Head of Studies).
- Degree or Diploma in Education, School Administration, or related field.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
- Strong computer and ICT skills, including: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Email communication and internet research; E-learning platforms and digital teaching tools; Other relevant software for school management and reporting
- Leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of non-profit / NGO management is an added advantage.
- Strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to foster innovation, student engagement, and entrepreneurship.
- Experience in curriculum development, vocational training, and integrating soft skills.

Duration
This is a permanent position, subject to a three-month probation period prior to confirmation.
