Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Production & Supply Manager to lead our production team. This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of our maize milling operations to meet market demands. The manager will play a pivotal role in aligning production activities with the company’s strategic goals, managing daily operations, and representing the production team within the broader organizational framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate maize supply and production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and supply timelines.
  • Lead and motivate the production team by setting daily and weekly goals, assigning tasks, and ensuring team efficiency.
  • Identify potential risks in production and supply processes, implement preventive measures, and troubleshoot machinery or facility issues promptly.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, challenges, and achievements to the CEO.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the CEO or his designee to support overall company objectives.

 Essential Requirements

  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in production planning, shift scheduling, and resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in production management, preferably within the food processing or agro-processing industries.
  • Proven ability to operate, oversee, and troubleshoot production machinery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
