Purpose
The Professional in charge of IT Investigation works under the supervision of the Director of Investigation Unit and plays a critical role in strengthening tax compliance and enforcement. The role focuses on leveraging information technology, and system integration to support tax investigations, detect fraud schemes, and enhance evidence-based decision-making within the Strategic Intelligence and Investigation Division. The officer develops and deploys digital tools, analyzes complex datasets, and provides technical expertise to uncover tax evasion, fraudulent VAT refund claims, and other financial irregularities.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with investigators and intelligence teams to understand operational needs, risk areas, and emerging tax fraud patterns.
- Design, develop, and implement software applications and analytical tools to support tax investigations, including detection of IT systems anomalies, suspicious and non-compliance trends.
- Automate data analysis processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in investigations.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade investigation tools and applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Provide technical support and guidance to investigation teams on the use of developed tools and analytical methods.
- Produce technical and analytical reports highlighting findings, trends, and system performance.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activity reports to Director of Investigation Unit.
- Carry out any other task assigned by the supervisor in line with the unit’s mandate.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science specialized in Software Development using Java framework
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Management specialized in Software Development using Java framework
- Bachelor's Degree in Information System specialized in Software
Relevant Qualifications Required Trainings

- 2 years experience in Software development using Java framework and Csharp (C#)
