FXB Rwanda implements integrated development programs aimed at reducing poverty and vulnerability and promoting sustainable livelihoods, food and nutrition security, health, education, WASH, and economic empowerment.
FXB Rwanda is currently seeking to recruit three (3) qualified, motivated, and experienced Project Facilitators to assist the implementation of the FXBVillage Project in Gisagara District.
Project Background
The FXBVillage program uses a holistic approach designed to addresses the multiple interconnected dimensions of poverty, including health, education, and income generation, to help the most vulnerable families become self-sufficient and graduate out of extreme poverty within a three-year period. From October 2026, FXB Rwanda will start the implementation of the FXBVillage project in Kansi and Kibirizi sectors of Gisagara District in the Southern Province of Rwanda.
A. Scope of Work
Under the direct supervision of the Unit Manager, the Project Facilitator is tasked with the day-to-day planning, coordination, and implementation of field-based project activities within the assigned FXBVillage. S/he serves as the primary field-level link between the project and participant households, providing direct technical assist, coaching, guidance, and other project interventions to participants.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plan and organize the implementation and delivery of project services in the areas of Economic Strengthening, Education, WASH, Health, Nutrition, and Psycho-Social assist, ensuring that interventions create sustainable, long-lasting impact and empower participants to remain self-reliant beyond the project’s phase-out;
- keep and regularly update the participants’ database to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of information;
- Ensure assigned project community coaches, participants and stakeholders are trained on program key interventions including Economic empowerment, Education, Child rights, Health, Nutrition, HIV Prevention, Psychosocial assist, WASH environment and housing;
- produce concept notes and budgets of activities concerned in the components of Economic Strengthening, Education, Social, Health, Nutrition, Psychosocial assist and HIV Prevention;
- Ensure and contribute to the quality of service delivery to all stakeholders, timely submission of high quality reports, proper documentation and filing;
- Participate in daily monitoring and evaluation of the project activities;
- Ensure all supported children in education have necessary school materials, school uniform, school fees, perform well, remain in and complete schools;
- Plan, produce, and deliver training sessions for participants on key topics such as family planning, sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, hygiene, nutrition, economic strengthening, education, and child rights;
- perform home visits to program participants in order to assist and follow up program activities; and offer psychosocial assist to the participants when a need arises;
- Representing FXB Rwanda in the area of attachment;
- Ensure whether program participants have adequate materials for Hygiene and WASH and verify whether they follow WASH and Hygiene principles;
- deliver regularly reports on the program’s activities in assigned area of implementation and contribute to developing donor reports;
- Perform any other duties/ responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
B. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, Nursing, Clinical Psychology, healthcare, or other related fields;
- Proven experience in projects implementation serving vulnerable populations (at least three years); and at least 2 years of experience in a similar field-based position;
- Skilled with preparing and presenting impact-based activity concept notes and reports;
- Experience in providing psychosocial assist interventions and/or nursing is an added value;
- Relevant experience in working with local leaders;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, French and Kinyarwanda;
- Proficient in MS office and Outlook;
- Management skills and abilities to team work;
- Ready to live in the working place and willingness to work in rural area;
- Category A (motorcycle) driving license is required.
