JOB DESCRIPTION:
Yes Shop Ltd is a clean cooking and LPG distribution company operating in Rwanda through its branded YES and Love LPG cylinders. The company has also developed and successfully tested the Tekeraheza app ( www.tekeraheza.com), an innovative digital platform designed to enhance LPG distribution, cylinder management, customer experience, and access to clean cooking solutions.
As part of its continued growth and expansion — including the upcoming pilot implementation of the open-access 3kg Tekeraheza cylinders — Yes Shop Ltd is seeking to recruit a competent, trustworthy, and highly detail-oriented professional to join its team as a Sales & Reconciliation Officer.
Position: Sales & Reconciliation Officer
Duty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting accurate financial and operational controls across the company’s LPG operations.
Main responsibilities include:
- Recording and verifying daily LPG sales from shops and delivery operations.
- Reconciling cash collections, Mobile Money transactions, and bank deposits against sales records.
- Verifying delivery transactions and reconciling dispatched cylinders with delivered cylinders and collected payments.
- Monitoring stock movement discrepancies in collaboration with the operations and stock management teams.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation and performance reports.
- Supporting internal controls aimed at reducing losses, fraud, and reporting inconsistencies.
- Coordinating with shop managers, drivers, stock manager, and finance staff to ensure operational accuracy.
- Supporting proper use and accuracy of digital systems, including Tekeraheza platform operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field.
- Minimum of relevant working experience: No experience required
Required Competencies
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies and solve problems quickly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel at intermediate or advanced level, including: formulas and functions, pivot tables, reconciliation worksheets, data analysis, and reporting. (Please do not apply if your Excel skills are only at a basic level)
- Knowledge of accounting systems or digital reporting tools like online QuickBooks will be an added advantage.
