We work closely with vulnerable groups including women, youth, persons with disabilities, and families affected by social challenges ensuring their empowerment through sustainable agricultural practices, SMEs and improved health outcomes.
Position Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Socio-Therapist Officer to provide psychosocial counseling, social therapy, and community mobilization support to vulnerable populations within the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group socio-therapy and counseling sessions to community members facing social, emotional, or psychological challenges.
- Facilitate support groups and community healing activities.
- Identify and refer beneficiary requiring specialized mental health services.
- Work closely with local leaders and health workers to promote psychosocial wellbeing and social inclusion.
- Develop and implement community awareness programs on mental health, social cohesion, and family support.
- Document case notes, progress reports, and program outcomes.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Clinical Psychology or related field.
- Experience in psychosocial support and community therapy.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work empathetically with vulnerable and traumatized individuals.
- Knowledge of local languages and cultural contexts preferred.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English/French is an advantage.
