JOB DETAILS:
Background
The Rwanda Law Reform Commission (RLRC) is seeking a Legislative Translation Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of legal documents.
Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Legislative Translation Specialist include:
- Translating draft legal instruments initiated by the commission.
- Checking original text to ensure that translation retains the content and the meaning of the original material.
- Checking translation of technical terms and legal terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent.
- Ensuring harmonization of languages of adopted legal instruments.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned by his/her supervisor.
