About eFiche

eFiche is a Rwanda-based digital health company building AI-enabled clinical tools for nurses and midwives across Rwanda's primary health care system. Our AI outputs — clinical decision support recommendations, risk flags, prescribing guidance, danger sign alerts — must be not only technically functional but clinically accurate, contextually appropriate, and aligned with Rwanda's national clinical guidelines. Validating this, across an expanding portfolio of clinical workflow domains, requires someone who bridges the technical and clinical worlds with equal confidence.

We are looking for a UAT & Clinical Quality Tester to own user acceptance testing at facility level and the clinical quality validation of AI outputs across all our workflow modules.

Purpose of the Role

The UAT & Clinical Quality Tester conducts structured user acceptance testing at health facilities and validates AI output quality across multiple clinical workflow modules, ensuring each module is both usable and clinically appropriate before and during scale-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute structured UAT test plans at pilot and scale-up facilities for each workflow module, engaging nurses, midwives, and other frontline users as primary testers
  • Document user feedback, usability issues, and workflow friction points per module; synthesise findings for the product and training teams
  • Work with the Clinical Trainer and Clinical Pharmacy Advisor to develop and maintain a clinical validation rubric for each workflow module
  • Validate AI output quality against those rubrics, tracking concordance with Rwanda national clinical guidelines per workflow
  • Flag anomalies, recurring errors, or clinically unsafe outputs to the Technical Lead promptly, with clear documentation
  • Maintain a module-by-module validation status tracker across all active clinical workflow domains
  • Support the MoH AI Laboratory certification process by providing structured testing evidence per workflow module
  • Collaborate with Field Support & Adoption Officers during facility visits
  • Contribute to test documentation and evidence packages for milestone reviews and funder reporting

Required Profile

  • Background in health informatics, nursing, clinical officer training, or a related health field — OR a tech-savvy professional with substantial experience across multiple clinical service areas
  • 3+ years of experience in health system work, digital health, or software testing in a health context
  • Ability to work across diverse clinical contexts — from mental health to maternal care to pharmacy
  • Ability to interpret clinical guidelines and apply them in a structured evaluation context
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and organisational skills — managing validation status across multiple modules requires rigour
  • Experience with Rwanda's primary health care system or national health information systems is a strong advantage
  • Kinyarwanda fluency required; English proficiency required
  • Willingness to travel to health facilities regularly
  • Design and execute structured UAT test plans at pilot and scale-up facilities for each workflow module, engaging nurses, midwives, and other frontline users as primary testers
