About the Apprenticeship

Career path:
Apprentices who consistently exceed expectations throughout the 6 months may be promoted to Junior Welding Officer with the full Officer-level package. Apprentices who do not meet that bar will not be retained.
Who We're Looking For

TVET diploma or certificate in Welding, Metal Fabrication, or Mechanical Engineering (RTB/WDA-recognised institution).
Experience:
Recent graduate (0–1 year) or about-to-graduate within 3 months.
Trade Foundation:
Practical exposure to arc welding (SMAW). Bonus for MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma cutting, or work with galvanised or stainless steel.

Willing to travel to rural minigrid and borehole sites for installation and repair work.
Key Result Areas
- Structural welding & fabrication — Tank stands, filter housings, borehole caps, pipe supports to WAR quality specifications.
- Workshop safety — PPE, ventilation, fire-safety, clean bay every shift.
