Call for Expressions of Interest for the Pre-qualification of Contractors for Capacity Building and the Construction of Trail Bridges Tender at Bridges to Prosperity

1. Background

Bridges to Prosperity, in partnership with the Government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Local Government and Rwanda Polytechnic (RP), is implementing a rural access program aimed at improving safe access through the construction, maintenance, and long-term sustainability of trail bridges across Rwanda. 

This program emphasizes: 

• Expansion of rural bridge infrastructure 
• Capacity building of local contractors and engineers in collaboration Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) 
• Long-term sustainability through training and
  knowledge transfer

2. Purpose of this EOI

The purpose of this Call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) is to identify and preselect qualified contractors interested in participating in capacity-building and training activities scheduled for mid-August 2026, in collaboration with Rwanda Polytechnic (RP), as well as upcoming trail bridge construction and maintenance projects. This initiative forms part of the first cycle of a structured contractor development program.
