Supply Chain Management / Logistics Lead*

Why We Need You
The BioNTainers will be equipped to produce a range of mRNA-based vaccines targeted towards the needs of African Union member states. You will become part of the regional staffing team, driving the establishment of the regional African end-to-end mRNA manufacturing network.


SCM/ Logistics Lead* RUANDA
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for smooth logistics operations and for high-quality,
on-time provisioning of raw materials and equipment for producing pharmaceutical products at the Rwanda site.


Your Main Responsibilities Are
• Close collaboration with global SCM team to ensure that strategy is followed-up accordingly
• Recruit local shift teams for site specific activities and tasks
• Implements site planning across full BOM
• Implements material flows for inbound, production supply, outbound
• Implements logistic waste handling and material flow
• Liaise with local transport companies to ensure delivery process in line with global contracts
• Leads, motivates, and develops assigned direct reports based on the company’s leadership principles, and conduct performance review meetings
• Attains and implements objectives and tasks assigned by the Site head and the global functions, while also observing governing policies and instructions
• Instructs and supervises direct reports with regard to all relevant process steps and monitors the performance of the logistics groups
• Responsible for staffing and vacation planning within the assigned area
• Forward-looking planning for all raw materials, supplies, services and consumables for quality control and production to the point of use
• Efficient management of local inventory and reordering products as needed to maintain sufficient inventory levels either locally or within network
• Maintain accurate records and files of inventory usage
• Ensure compliant handling of GMP-material as well as hazards or dangerous goods
• Point of contact for the (external) warehouse (3PL – 3rd Party Logistics)
• Arrange product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies as well as route drivers accordingly
• Establish and implement local guidelines and SOPs and ensures training on site
• Issues instructions to and coordinates external suppliers
• Manage local compliance within area of responsibility e.g. GMP documentation and deviation management
• Establish relevant reporting and visibility on performance
• Completes all tasks assigned to the job function, while observing governing GMP, work instructions, and site-specific, as well as environmental and safety instructions and policies

Education
What you have to offer
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience with completed vocational training as logistic or supply chain expert (m/f/d) Professional experience:
• +5 years of sector-specific experience
• GMP/GDP experience
• Regulatory and legal requirements experience

Languages:
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential

• Willingness to work in 24-7 shift operations, including weekends and holidays
• High degree of conscientiousness and diligence (documentation, accurate system transaction entries, order and cleanliness at the workstation)

Site Manager* Facility Management
These Teams Are Responsible For The Reliable Operation Of
The Facility Management Department of BioNTech is the technical operator of the building infrastructure of all BioNTech properties, thus the department is responsible for reliable operation, inspection and maintenance of all facilities within BioNTech. The Facility Management Department of BioNTech is composed of the respective site-specific teams, each of which reports to a Site Manager Facility Management.
• Core infrastructure (including, but not limited to, HVAC systems for research and manufacturing laboratories, steam supply systems, compressed air generation, airlocks, technical cooling, personnel and freight elevators, building envelope including walls, doors, etc., exterior shading and the building control system (ICA))
• Safety equipment (including fire alarm systems such as smoke and fire detectors, fire extinguishing systems, smoke and heat extraction systems, escape and rescue routes, emergency lighting systems, fire protection and power-operated doors as well as access control and locking systems)
• Basic media supply and disposal (water supply, power supply including UPS and emergency standby power generators, demineralized water and ultra-pure water supply, pumping stations and wastewater neutralization and disposal).
• This position will serve as Site Manager Facility Management for the new BioNTainer Site in Kigali, Rwanda. This new BioNTainer Site is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2022 and is currently in the advanced planning phase. The Site Manager Facility Management is already intensively involved during the construction project and accompanies the subsequent shutdown and commissioning of the building as a contact person for all future responsibilities of the Facility Management Department.
• After the building has been commissioned, this position is responsible for the reliable operation of the technical systems and the organisation as well as supervision of maintenance and repair work. For this purpose, a site-specific team of specialised technicians has to be recruited and developed.

Additional Responsibilities
• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Facility Management team on site.
• Ensuring proper and reliable operation and regular inspection, maintenance, repair of technical systems with external service providers (planning, coordination, implementation, documentation).
• Responsible supervisor of the overall condition of the facility and all technical building equipment, Budget responsibility, development of the team.
• Contact Person for all requests regarding the future facility management systems during the construction and commission phase of the BioNTainer site.
• Inspection and operation of all technical equipment, complex changes in instrumentation, control and automation system (ICA).
• Initiation of corrective actions in case of reported deviations and unusual incidents, inspections of safety-related equipment with independent inspection authorities

Education
What you have to offer.
• Completed technical degree (B.Sc./M Sc.) or equivalent apprenticeship with technical background Professional Experience
• At least 3-5 years operational experiences in a technical environment, preferably with focus on facility management

Languages
• English fluent spoken and written
• Additional language is a plus

On behalf of our client providing call center services, we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced Quality Analyst to work in Kigali.


Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure efficient daily operation of the team against KPI’s
• Adhere to the prescribed operating rhythm to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly targets are met
• Ensure consistent delivery of all KPI’s
• Ensures minimal or no productive downtime by immediately or where possible proactively flagging any system, environmental or other factors that will result in a reduction of productive time or outputs
• Adhere to all prescribed company policies and procedures
• Actively participate in or utilise all training opportunities, training material, knowledge base tools, upskills and calibrations that drive ongoing accuracy

Setting Quality Standards
• The Quality Analyst must be able to set the quality standards for incoming and outgoing interactions
• To display professionalism in all correspondence with internal and external stakeholders and colleagues
• To work closely with and support departments as a seamless extension to all stakeholders
• To provide work of exceptional quality, that is accurate, neatly aligned, clear and concise in form of electronic communication

• Continuous training, calibration and up skilling to ensure alignment with current and new products, processes and launches

Experience, Knowledge And Qualifications
• KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of required language

• Minimum of 1-year experience in contact centre environment
• Experience in a quality assessment role advantageous
• Computer literate
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of products
• Time to competency 3-6 months
