Our Rwanda program, founded in 2007 is our largest and operates under the local brand Tubura. We have more than 3,000 staff across all four provinces of Rwanda, as well as in Kigali. Together, we served more than 2.8 million farmers in 2024. We work closely with the government to support national efforts to improve food security. Additionally, we help channel funding and resources to promising agri-SMEs, supporting farmers by providing a market for high-impact crops such as coffee, avocado, and chili.
About the Role
We are seeking a strong and field-oriented professional to support in designing practical, farmer-friendly tools and training for our FLR. This role contributes to translating agroforestry science into clear implementation guidance, ensuring high-quality
Responsibilities
Training Design & Delivery
Help draft and update training curricula for field teams, support delivery of trainings and learning sessions, ensure content follows FLR protocols and seasonal priorities, and incorporate field team feedback to improve effectiveness.
Field Testing & Program Design
Pilot and test training content and materials with farmers and field teams
Coordination with Field and Office Teams
Act as a key link between agroforestry design, field implementation, and program leadership, ensuring alignment of training and operations, documenting decisions and lessons learned, coordinating with data and operations teams, and supporting technical documentation for stakeholders.
Extension & Training Materials
Design and improve practical extension materials based on field findings

Qualifications
- Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Experience working in smallholder or rural agricultural settings
- Experience supporting operations, training delivery, and content design
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams (e.g., data, operations, impact)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Bachelors degree in any field
- Understanding of design methods that involve users or communities in the process
