About Kivu Choice:

Kivu Choice is Rwanda’s largest protein producer and one of the fastest-growing aquaculture companies in Africa. Founded in 2022, Kivu Choice is the sister company to Victory Farms, East Africa’s leading aquaculture platform based in Kenya. The company operates a fully vertically integrated aquaculture model, encompassing hatchery operations, cage-based grow-out, processing, distribution, and sales. Kivu Choice is also one of the country’s largest employers with over 700 employees and plans to grow to 1,200 employees within the next three years, reflecting its strong commitment to job creation and inclusive economic development. Over the next five years, Kivu Choice aims to scale into Africa’s largest and most sustainable protein producer, producing and distributing 30,000 tons of fish annually for the Rwandan market and for export across the region.

About the Role

The Market Expansion Coordinator will drive the growth of Kivu Choice’s domestic retail footprint across Rwanda. The role requires a highly organized, self-driven individual who is comfortable managing multiple workstreams on the ground while working closely with sales, logistics, marketing, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Branch Rollouts: Oversee the end-to-end execution of new retail outlet launches, ensuring revamp, branding, and utilities are completed on time.

  • Launch Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate launch day events, local community outreach, and branch promotions.
  • Budget Tracking: Manage and report on setup expenses for each location to ensure branch rollouts stay within the allocated budget.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in retail expansion, FMCG distribution, or field project management in Rwanda.
  • Proven track record of managing site vendors, contractors, and engagements with local government authorities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple launches simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for budget tracking and project management tools to monitor launch timelines.
  • Native or full professional fluency in Kinyarwanda and English is mandatory.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically across Rwanda on a frequent basis.
