About the Young Professionals Program
One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program offers high-performing African graduates meaningful internships and training opportunities at a high-performing, mission-driven organization. Our internships are paid and all interns can expect to receive substantive work assignments working on high-impact projects that support One Acre Fund's operations.
When joining, interns will participate in an onboarding program and receive training on how to design and execute projects. About the Role
Seeking a capable Procurement with the ability to manage procurement activities, inventory operations, and the efficient supply and distribution of items across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
Support Inventory Quality Control
- Assist in verifying the quantity, quality, and specifications of goods received from suppliers.
- Support inspection processes and report damaged, expired, or non-compliant items to the store team.
- Maintain accurate records of received and inspected inventory.
Support with Inventory Management & Stock Verification
- Support routine physical stock counts and inventory verification activities.
- Help record, reconcile, and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Contribute to maintaining accurate inventory data and stock records.
Support Store Organization & Warehouse Operations
- Assist in organizing, labeling, and storing inventory according to established procedures and safety standards.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse environment.
- Ensure inventory is easily accessible and properly arranged for efficient operations.
Support Shipment Preparation & Dispatch Activities
- Assist in preparing inventory for dispatch to internal teams, field locations, and other stakeholders.
- Support packaging, documentation, loading, and shipment coordination activities.
- Help track outgoing deliveries and ensure all shipment records are accurately maintained.
Learn, Collaborate & Contribute to Operational Excellence
- Work closely with procurement, inventory, and logistics teams to support day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Develop practical experience in inventory management, stock control, and supply chain processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 6 to 12 months of experience within Inventory Management, Procurement, or similar roles within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge or ability to learn and use inventory or warehouse management systems (e.g., WMS).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Kinyarwanda and English.

Interns will be provided with a reasonable stipend for the duration of their contract. Rural area based fellows will be provided assistance in locating suitable housing.
