About the Position:

Authentic International Academy is currently seeking a talented Head Teacher with relevant experience mainly from the education sector. His/her role will mainly focus on Coordinating student activities, support, and advise all students on a broad base of development milestones. The Head Teacher will be organizing and facilitating teachings for the Academy to foster the development of the members of the academy; she/ he will also be providing individual guidance to both students and staff members.

Job Description

  • Leading and managing the school in accordance with christian values.
  • Working collaboratively with staff, parents and community to promote academic achievement.
  • Ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Monitoring individual progress and achievement of every learner.
  • Ensuring compliance and regulatory and safety of learners and staff.
  • Recruit, supervise, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff
  • Ensure discipline, welfare, and holistic development of students
  • Ensure efficient use of resources
  • Support fundraising and sustainability initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents, church, and community
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Represent the school in official functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor

Required Qualifications and Skills:

The Head Teacher Should have the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Teaching certification or ECE is a strong requirement.
  • Having at least 5 years’ experience in leadership of a private primary school.
  • Age: preferably between 30-40 years.
  • Strong English and French language skills, both written and spoken and knowledge of Kinyarwanda

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to Christian values- based education
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, planning and reporting skills
