Background of Bandebereho Program
Bandebereho TTS Program is a gender-transformative couple’s intervention to promote men’s equitable, non-violent engagement in Maternal New Born and Child Health, gender Based Violence Prevention, caregiving for healthy couple’s relationship implemented by RWAMREC in Musanze in collaboration with RBC/MCCH and Musanze District in 16 Health centers. The aim of this program is to engage men in promoting of maternal, new born and child health, care giving, GBV prevention for healthy families. The Program is implemented at grassroots level with trained CHWs in charge of health promotion and disease control supported by their supervisors based at each health centre and RWAMREC staff with technical support from Promundo US.

Rwanda Men’s Resource Centre (RWAMREC) under Bandebereho Program and SDC funded wishes to conduct the qualitative research to assess the risk factors of GBV/IPV among the CHWs and their partners in Musanze District.
The expected outcome of this consultancy services is to have the high quality of qualitative research using the qualitative methods that are using the FGDs and IDIs interviews with CHWs facilitators of Bandebereho, other types of CHWs working with health system in Musanze District, IDIs selected among the District leaders of Musanze District
For this purpose, RWAMREC is seeking to recruit, a qualified and experienced consultant firm or individual consultant to conduct the qualitative research in the Bandebereho program to inform future planning.

1.Objective of the consultancy services
The overall objective of this consultancy services is to conduct the qualitative research using FGDs with CHWs facilitators of Bandebereho and other types of CHWs, the GE members, and IDIs with District leaders.

Tasks of consultants
The consultants firm /Individual will have to conduct the qualitative research through 6 FGDs composed of Male and Female CHWs facilitators of Bandebereho program; Male and Female CHWs who are not Bandebereho Facilitators; Partners of CHWs facilitators of Bandebereho; and Partners of CHWs who are not facilitators of Bandebereho. The consultant will have to compile all FGDs interviews collected and submit the voice recorded and field notes in Kinyarwanda and the final report in English reported to Bandebereho Project Coordinator for further processing.

Methodology
Conducting FGDs interviews with Male and Female CHWs facilitators of Bandebereho program; Male and Female CHWs who are not Bandebereho Facilitators; Partners of CHWs facilitators of Bandebereho Program; and Partners of CHWs who are not facilitators of Bandebereho Program.
Conducting IDIs with E-CHOs, the Supervisors of E-CHO, District Health Director, Health center Directors.

Deliverables
• Inception report detailing the methodology and work plan
• Draft narrative report of FGDs interviews collected at field level for comments and inputs
• Submission of final Narrative report to Bandebereho project Coordinator

Requirements
This assignment will be done by the consultants with requirements illustrated below:
• Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in gender studies, communication, journalism, or arts;
• At least 3 years work experience in data collection of qualitative research
• Be available and able to work under pressure;
• Have ability to speak English and Kinyarwanda is an added value.

The financial proposal will also be submitted with the technical proposal.
