Our client, one of the world's largest container shipping companies, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join their exceptional team.

THE JOB

As the Senior Operations Coordinator, you are tasked with the end-to-end operational coordination for Rwanda and Burundi, including inland transportation, customer service, documentation, vendor management and shipment execution while supporting commercial growth. You will ensure efficient operational execution, outstanding customer experience and development of inland logistics capabilities in Rwanda and Burundi.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

Operational Execution

• organize end-to-end shipment execution.
• track shipment milestones and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with client procedures.

Customer Service

• Act as operational contact for customers.
• oversee enquiries and escalations.
• deliver proactive shipment updates.

Inland Logistics

• organize carrier haulage and inland transport.
• oversee transport providers.
• assist cross-border cargo movements.

Documentation & Compliance

• organize shipping documentation and cargo release.
• Ensure customs and regulatory compliance.

Vendor Management

• track vendor KPIs and service levels.
• Drive continuous operational improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service and regional Operations teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in shipping, logistics or freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of inland transport and East African transit corridors
