Documental and Archives Officer at Muhanga District 

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and operate a documentation and archives system for the hospital in accordance with established practices and standards.
  2. Develop and implement, in collaboration with relevant staff, an information classification and access policy.
  3. Maintain effective cataloguing and indexing of documents and regularly update the hospital’s documentation database.
  4. Receive, process, and file documents in accordance with policies and procedures.
  5. Organize documentation and archives for each hospital unit systematically.
  6. Analyze documentation needs and submit corresponding reports with recommendations.
  7. Enter documents into the database using approved software systems.
  8. Index and file documents in compliance with documentation policies, rules, and regulations.
  9. Identify and propose documents for submission to the National Archives Services.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science (0 years of experience required)
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Documentation (0 years of experience required)
  3. Bachelor’s Degree in Archives (0 years of experience required)
  4. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management (0 years of experience required)
