DFGFI Rwanda office moved to its new facility known as the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund (the “Campus”) located near Volcano National Park and the town of Kinigi in Musanze District.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Facility Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day campus hospitality on all items related to dining, cleaning, accommodations, special events, laundry coordination, welcoming students, researchers and other approved users of campus housing and ensure that

Responsibilities
• Manage the campus student housing assignment schedule for all campus residents in coordination with both the research, facility and the administration teams;
• Monitor the implementation of the student housing code of conduct (CoC) and ensure a strict adherence by all student housing users to the CoC.
• Liaise with outsourced cleaning firm, landscaping maintenance firm and dining firm as well as campus residents and staff when it comes to all hospitality needs, as the focal person;
• Conduct orientation of all people staying on the Campus when it comes to life on campus;
• Monitor the laundry schedule and induct users of the campus housing on laundry machine usage;
• Create and manage the Campus hospitality feedback tracker towards the required betterment of the Campus operations;
• Monitor the campus cleaning schedule in liaison with the outsourced cleaning firm supervisor and the Facility Manager;
• Conduct regular checks to ensure that all buildings, furniture, and furnishings are well cleaned as per their cleaning schedules (coordinating the Key Performance Indicators);
• Conduct weekly kitchen inspections;
• Prepare and monitor cleaning checklists for different buildings, furniture and equipment;
• Plan the cleaning supply of the whole campus for procurement, and monitor their usage;
• Support the facilities team in carrying out specific operations duties as needed (working with technicians to ensure requests from students and staffs are attended to);
• Support the Facility Manager in operating the Campus and hospitality related functions each day in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner;
• Support the Facility Manager to enhance the health and safety at campus, especially in the student houses;
• Support in the planning and coordination of special events;
• Assist the Facility Manager in updating the campus operation manual;
• Coordinate the access to different buildings (assisting in campus keys management);
• Assist in planning the campus budget concerning hospitality functions.
• Conduct any other duty assigned to him/her by the line manager.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in hospitality or other related fields.
• Experience coordinating hospitality of a large community.
• Knowledge of occupational Health and Safety is an added value;
• Excellent communication and writing skills;
• Flexibility to work on weekends when needed,
• English and Kinyarwanda proficiency required; French knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills; and delivering at pace.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• High integrity and professionalism.
