Overview:
Health Development Initiative (HDI) is an independent, non-profit organization based in Kigali and registered with the Rwandan government. HDI strives to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare for all Rwandans.
Vision: A society in which everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the highest attainable standard of health and well-being, regardless of social, cultural, economic, or any other status.
Mission: To empower individuals, communities, and institutions to improve community health and development in Rwanda. Using a rights-based approach, HDI builds sustainable

OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSULTANCY

The main objective of this consultancy is to train HDI staff on communication, brand communication, planning, placement, and strategy.
Key Tasks
The scope of the consultancy service shall include:
• Training in communication, partnership management, and key aspects of digitalization.
• Review the communication and digitalization strategy
• Review HDI’s branding guidelines
• Develop HDI’s brand messaging
• Crisis Management

Supervision, Reporting, and Deliverables
• The consultant will be directly supervised by and will report to the Director of Communication
• The following deliverables are expected from the consultant:
• Training report of HDI’s staff on communication skills
• Comprehensive branding guidelines and branding messages
Duration of the task:
This short-term consultancy work will commence upon contract signing and end upon submission of required deliverables.

Qualifications and experience:
Communication expertise requires high technical/professional expertise and proven experience. Therefore, the consultant interested in this assignment is required to have the following qualifications:
1. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, International Relations, Journalism, or other relevant fields.
2. Have at least 5 years of experience in the communication sector.
3. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
4. Have excellent communication skills, oral, written, and presentation.
5. Having experience in working with local and international non-government organizations will be an added advantage.

• A detailed quotation for the consultancy showing all necessary costs. Bids shall be provided in Rwandan francs, including applicable taxes, and shall be valid for at least 90 days after submission.
