15 Job Positions of Data Manager A1/A2 at Gicumbi District (GICUMBI)

Job Responsibilities

I. Summary of Overall Role and Responsibilities

  • Collect, maintain, and analyze data following the health center’s management plans and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees understand how to utilize collected data effectively.

II. Key Duties and Tasks

  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of data collected at health facilities.
  • Supervise and guide staff in data collection, tabulation, and reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and produce health facility statistics.
  • Present statistical results through graphs, charts, and tables.
  • Consolidate statistical reports from different departments/projects.
  • Prepare and submit reports on birth/death audits, disease surveillance, and HMIS.
  • Perform data entry and participate in data quality assessments (internal/external).
  • Supervise catchment area health centers to verify data reliability and quality.
  • Support operational research, monitoring & evaluation (M&E) activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

III. Traits

  • Strong skills in data collection, entry, analysis, interpretation, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to identify and correct data errors.
  • Creativity, innovation, flexibility, and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication with colleagues and partners.

IV. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly HMIS data submission.
  • Monthly data quality review meetings (with recorded minutes).
  • Annual health facility performance report prepared and submitted.

Qualifications
