JOB DETAILS:

Cashier at Neuro Psychiatric Teaching Hospital Caraes Ndera (NDERA HOSPITAL)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Revenue Collection & Financial Management

• Receive payments from patients through approved hospital payment platforms.
• Issue official receipts for all cash transactions.
• Record financial information, collect service charges, and process third-party claims.
• Compile and submit daily revenue reports using approved templates.

2. Insurance & Claims Processing

• Understand various insurance packages and assist patients with necessary documentation.
• Verify patient identities and insurance documents before service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and maintain proper documentation for claims.

3. Patient Data & Confidentiality

• Manage patients’ health and financial data with strict confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate records to support insurance claims and audits.

4. Customer Service & Communication

• Provide clear information to patients regarding hospital services and payment procedures.
• Address patient inquiries promptly to ensure high satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields:
  • Economics
  • Management
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Commerce
• Diploma (A2) in:
  • Commerce & Accounting
  • Accounting
  • Commerce & Economics

Experience:

• 0 years of experience required (entry-level position).

Required Competencies & Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial management systems and digital payment platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of insurance claim processes and healthcare billing.

Behavioral Skills:

• Results-oriented with strong time management.
• Risk management and decision-making skills.
• Clear communication (verbal & written).
• High integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive data.

Language Proficiency:

• Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English, and/or French (knowledge of all is an advantage).
