Our fleet of trucks delivers reliable fleet and transport solutions throughout Rwanda and neighboring regions.

TRUK Rwanda is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our fleet and transport operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in logistics planning, fleet management, regulatory compliance, and team coordination.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Rwanda’s transport sector and join a fast-growing company.

Contract: 2-year contract, with the opportunity to extend based on performance.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Fleet Manager, you will:

  • Plan, manage, and optimize the company’s fleet and transportation operations.
  • Oversee fleet management, including truck maintenance, scheduling, and route planning.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to clients while minimizing operational costs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance, and warehouse) and external partners (clients, suppliers, transport authorities).
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for freight operations.
  • Develop strategies to improve delivery efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
  • Master’s Degree (preferred)

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years in logistics, transportation, or fleet management roles.
  • Experience managing a fleet of trucks is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing teams and coordinating operations across multiple departments.

Required Skills:

  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Competency in Kinyarwanda (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, fleet management software, and route optimization tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience in import/export fleet operations.
  • Knowledge of regional transport logistics and cross-border regulations.
  • Exposure to cost optimization strategies and supply chain efficiency improvement.
