Job responsibilities
Trainee Session Preparation and Delivery
- Deliver training sessions aligned with module outcomes.
- Facilitate the learning process within the trade.
- Ensure effective classroom management.
Curriculum Development & Innovation
- Develop and update course content to maintain relevance, currency, and compliance with international standards.
- Conduct assessments, evaluate student work, and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist students in portfolio development.
- Submit class marks and feedback to the supervisor.
Industry Integration & Training Support
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners to align training with current standards.
- Maintain and manage trade-related machines and training equipment.
- Stay updated on the latest teaching and learning trends within the School environment.
Student Development & Engagement
- Organize technology demonstrations, training workshops, and coaching programs.
- Guide students in designing innovative products and services.
- Conduct research and provide insights on trade advancements.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Maintain required documentation, including tracking and reporting on at-risk students.
- Support school marketing initiatives (e.g., Open Days).
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering0 Year of relevant experience
- Advanced Diploma in Plumbing0 Year of relevant experience
- Advanced Diploma in Construction Engineering0 Year of relevant experience
- Advanced diploma in Water and Sanitation0 Year of relevant experience
- Advanced Diploma in Water and Environmental Technology0 Year of relevant experience
Required competencies and key technical skills
- Professionalism
- Knowledge in TVET system
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Team working Skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
