Visual Art Value Chain Development Specialist
Level:3.II
Job description
• Carry out research on cinema, photography, crafts, ceramics, drawing, painting, scripture, textile arts and fashion, and decorative arts in Rwanda,
• Conduct research on the status of Visual arts and conduct the value chain training of visual arts in Rwanda,
• Participate in the development of policy, regulations and strategies governing the Cultural Creative Industry (CCI) in Rwanda,
• Monitor the implementation of policy, regulations and strategies governing the CCI in Rwanda,
• Promote and monitor the implementation of Intellectual Property (IP) and Copyright law in Visual Arts in Rwanda.

Tasks:
• Monitor of the cultural events organized by the Visual Artists,
• Conduct needs assessment of Visual Arts with the view to develop cultural and creative industry in Rwanda;
• Facilitate the Visual Artists to collaborate with the partners, investors in the cultural and creative industries(CCIs), private and public institutions nationally and abroad;
• Participate in carrying out a market study of artistic works of cultural and creative industries (CCIs) in Rwanda;
• Provide technical advices on the issuing of legal documents related to visual arts;
• Contribute to the induction and training of visual Artists for promotion of Cultural and Creative Industries in Rwanda (CCIs);
• Develop a mechanism to attract the private investments in visual arts in Rwanda;
• Ensure effective, regular and strategic communication of Visual Arts.
• Organize the competitions and awards related to Visual Arts;
• Organize the talent detection related to Visual Arts;
• Felicitate the visual Artists in the participation in national and international festivals and exhibitions;
• Perform other duties falling within his or her responsibilities as may be assigned to his or her by Division Manager.
