JOB DETAILS:

Head Dental Therapist Gihundwe & Mibilizi Hospital .

Job Description
• Prevention for older people and people with special care needs including those with mental ill health and disabilities.
• Participate in the coordination and delivery of dental services for patients who are medically compromised.
• Advise and, where appropriate, assist community dental officers to provide specialist treatment for older people/special needs.
• Participate in the provision of the dental service as required.
• Liaise closely with Dental Therapists/Hygienists in directing their work for these patients
• Regularly review, evaluate and revise established standards and protocols for the provision of dental services in light of research /evidence based practice / professional guidelines.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of dental services provided for these clients in order to meet professional standards.
• Submit monthly, quarterly and annually report to the supervisor
• Perform other related duties as required

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
• Good knowledge of Rwanda Health System
• Knowledge of clinical services Policy and procedures;

• Knowledge in complex dental machinery and computer programs use;

• Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; Knowledge of all is an advantage.
