Poultry Nutrition and Production System Associate Research Fellow
Level:3.IV
Job description
• -Report to the Mono-gastric program Coordinator with the following responsibilities:
• -Conduct research in poultry Nutrition and production System
• -Collaborate with other researchers in their regular activities namely collection of raw materials, laboratory work and in writing reports and publications.
• -Participate in meetings, seminars, conferences relevant to field of research and bring visibility of institute in local and international forums
• -Generate outputs for in poultry nutrition and production (technologies, methods, and practices) targeting farmers
• -Backstop/support extension and technology dissemination to stakeholders in poultry nutrition and production value chains
• -Provide training to farmers and extension agents on improved poultry feeds and feeding systems
• -Participate in innovation platforms at all levels of the Rwandan agricultural systems
• -Write and contribute to scientific publications on his/her research results in accordance with prescribed policy published in force;
• -Identify infrastructure and equipment required for the modernization of research and extension in in pig and rabbits nutrition;
• -Prepare weekly, monthly, a quarterly and annual report on research activities carried out
• -Performing any other duty assigned by his employer.

• Having authored at least one (1) scientific publication as first author and two (2) publications as a co-author in a peer-reviewed journa
• Being conversant with national and sector policies and development agenda
• Proven experience to work with farmers and industry stakeholders in research and extension
• Capacity in project development and resource Mobilization
