Quality Improvement Officer at Muhanga District

Job Responsibilities:

Quality Improvement Planning & Monitoring:

  • Assist departments in developing and monitoring Quality Improvement (QI) plans
  • Ensure ongoing quality assurance projects in all departments
  • Document and report improvement activities internally and externally

Guidelines & Compliance:

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of quality healthcare guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements
  • Distribute policies and procedures to clinical and administrative units

Audits & Performance Monitoring:

  • Design and conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and improvement areas
  • Monitor and evaluate quality healthcare services
  • Implement performance-based monitoring systems

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain records of proceedings, actions, and QI project results
  • Ensure proper filing and restricted access to QI documents
  • Prepare discrepancy reports for management review meetings

Leadership & Training:

  • Lead QI projects and facilitate training sessions
  • Supervise the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Organize and coordinate quality committee activities

Patient Records & Evaluation:

  • Review and evaluate patient medical records using QA criteria
  • Monitor support for QI activities across units

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health (0 years experience)
